Dr Peter Goss is the Chief Investigator of the Madlanga Commission. He began his career as a police officer in the late 1980s, serving as a detective warrant officer in the South African Police Service until 1995, then moved to Eskom as a senior advisor on corporate investigations and, from 1999, into forensic auditing at one of the large auditing firms.
In 2007 he was an expert forensic auditor in the prosecution of National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi. He is a professor of practice in corporate governance and forensic auditing at the University of Johannesburg and runs his own governance, crisis-management and forensics practice.
